Date: Sat Feb 2, 2002 11:14 pm Subject: New Member hello to all, i am a new member. i have many questions. i am not sold on the idea about this planet x thing but i do find it extremely interesting and, of course, frightening. how sure are you people on this idea? do many of you believe it without doubt now or are you, too, still skeptical. i know that in the early 80's the ny times had an article on what they called the possible 10th planet to our solar system. they never stated that it was or even that it was a planet or even that it was in orbit in our solar system. just that something existed and it was probably very large. i am a senior in high school. i assume most of the members are adults and at least 25 or so. i will be attending rutgers next year. why tell you this?? well i am concerned that if this is true it will strike at the very beginning of may next year and at that time i will just be finishing up finals. the question is will i finish before the big event or not? i think that i will probably have a clue to whether or not this will all happen some weeks perhaps months before. if X is as large as it is supposed to be then shouldn't we see some very noticeable earth changes?? and i believe i read somewhere that we should be able to see it in the sky. i also don't have the means to prepare properly, as i do not have access to large areas for storage and money money money. i did some reading and the ozarks sounded like a nice place to stay. its a wooded area and has lots of flowing water/rivers. so there's the water supply. but what about food and shelter. food seems more important because you could live outside, even if it will be quite cold. anybody have any input\comments? how bad do you think things are going to be? what are your plans? here is a link, even though most of you probably know about it http://xfacts.com/x1.htm do you people plan on surviving alone or as a group....personally i think that if everybody from a certain region met up they could have a nice small community, everybody could work together and stuff. maybe its too idealistic but you never know. the more the merrier right?? its scary to think that only 2365 people are a part of the yahoo group. i mean that's a lot for a yahoo group but come on....how many people know about this possibility, and of those, how many are actually taking action or even doing research. most probably just shrugged it off. i can understand why but i like to explore possibilities and i am a science nerd and i love space stuff. another question i had was do you people think that the 90% that are expected to die will die immediately or months after? i understand that at the shores or volcanoes people will die quickly but what about central america or places away from water? i just don't see how that many people could die from 100 foot tall wave. maybe i'm just nieve/stupid. but whatever the case is, i don't want to be in denial of this possibility. hope to talk to you all, ryan |
