Yes, but please humor me in this interjection of my own research into the now-infamous voices in Nancy's head, those inscrutible "Zeta Reticulans". For the record, I've had a fascination with the mysterious and paranormal since I was a child, even dragging my father out, when I was 13, to visit "Area 51" in Rachael, NV, after reading Bob Lazar's statements. I have had one or two wierd experiences, flashes in the sky where there were no clouds, and one missing time thing where I laid down to bed one night, blinked, and it was morning! Never happened before or since (I was 11 or 12, I'm 21 now.) These experiences, however subjectively odd, prove nothing to me or anyone else, and I don't really consider them, often. However, I've been driven to persue those phenomena that lie beyond the spectrum of the "normal". The unexplainable! The mysteries of existence! Makes life interesting. Enough autobiography, here's the meat: What an anomaly Nancy and the Zetas are. As the late Terence McKenna once put it, "It is no great accomplishment to hear a voice in one's head. The challenge is to discern if it is telling you the TRUTH!". I applaud Nancy for rushing headlong into what must be frightfully unfamiliar mental territory. I applaud those who have the courage to step forward and risk their own reputation for the sake of others. Anyone who honestly believes that Nancy & Co. are a bunch of con artists should really check their own head first. I mean, what an inefficient con job! Why not a pyramid scheme? Anyhow, allow me to explain why I give Zetatalk some credence. 1. There is *certainly* something fishy going on with the US government and "The UFO phenomena". If you have not done your homework in this respect, I will point you to The Disclosure Project, www.disclosureproject.com. It's a good smattering of compelling, sworn testimony from respectable individuals. Furthermore, there is a lot going on behind the scenes that even elected officials like Congress are unaware of. For a recent example of this, check out "The Conspirators" by Al Martin. Did the Bush financial empire make money off drugs? Sure did! As with anything, you make the call. 2. There is a large body of "prophecy" concerning cataclysm. The date is, as always, in prediction, uncertain. Didn't Edgar Cayce predict a pole shift scenario in '39? So, you can never be too sure. Scientists, when encountering the phenomena of prophecy, visionary or otherwise, find that the easiest explanation is to dismiss the individual as being mad or delusional. But it *is* foolish and dare I say naive to neglect the entire subject! One recent piece of literature that I often point to is a book by Dr. Rick Strassman entitled DMT: The Spirit Molecule. Dr. Strassman conducted clinical experiments with the ridiculously potent psychoactive chemical, endogenous to the human brain, DMT. The chemical essentially replaces your "reality feed" with something ENTIRELY different. Like changing your brain's channel. It does not otherwise diminish your brain's cognitive capacities, as do other hallucinogens. Hundreds of subjects were amazed by it's ability to present an internally consistent and seemingly objective "reality", which bore *no* resemblance to their dreams or life experiences. It is released by the pineal gland six moths post-conception, and just prior to death, thus it is nicknamed The Spirit Molecule. The most commonly described event is contact with *intelligent entities*, as well as some kind of non-verbal communication. Bizzare, yes? I will quote some choice passages: "This question about 'being high'-- I don't know. I had my capacities. I was able to observe quite clearly. I didn't feel stoned or intoxicated; it was just happening." "...there were these insect creatures all around me...the thought came to me with certainty that they were manipulating my DNA, changing it's structure..." "There were four or five of them... they were on me fast..." "It's totally unexpected, quite consistent and objective... It's an independent, constant reality." Themes emerge. Reptilian entities. Insect-like creatures. Big-headed *Greys*. DNA. The author remarks on the vivid similarity between this phenomena and the typical contactee reports. When I encountered Zetatalk's section on Density, it seemed to make more sense than any other neurochemical explanation for the DMT experience, and fit better than the inadequate Fruedian explanations put forth by Dr. Strassman. Do these entities exist only in the chemically-altered minds of subjects and contactees? What about Native American reports of spirit guides, vision quests, etc? Could it be that there is more to reality than what our senses afford us? <grin> Consider this. 3. Learning about these experiences caused me to reconsider a paper I had read earlier by Bill Cooper, entitled The Secret Government. In this book he testifies that he has read classified Navy briefing documents which verify the existence of extraterrestrials, and detail our involvement with them. Furthermore, he illustrates the role of the Bush family in all this, and the reasoning behind their drug trafficking. "The ruling powers decided that one means of funding the alien-connected and other 'black' projects was to corner the illegal drug market... A young ambitious member of the Council on Foreign Relations was approached. His name is George Bush... [he] agreed to help, and organized the operation in conjunction with the CIA. The plan worked better than anyone had dreamed...The CIA now controls most of the world's illegal dug markets." The book, The Conspirators, available at www.almartinraw.com (published in 2002) confirms Cooper's "Secret Government" testimony. I encourage skeptics to investigate this. Another site to check out is www.copvcia.com. I know this is not alt.conspiracies, but it is relevant to the subject at hand. Cooper says he lost his leg after being run off the road by government agents. If you think this is paranoid fancy, I suggest you read testimony from Disclosure Project witnesses (high brass, retired military officials), who say in no uncertain terms that they have been threatened with their lives. What's the big deal? The pieces start to fit together. But *could it be*? 4. I had not heard anything about a "pole shift" until reading zetatalk, but after checking out a few of Velikovsky's books, as well as criticism, I began to mull the possibility. Strangely, the thought of impending cataclysm fits well with the beliefs my parents have held concerning a man who claimed to be the Avatar of our age, Meher Baba. While not beyond reproach, the man did dedicate his life, in saintly fashion, to helping the untouchables and beggars of his native India. He has written at length concerning the "current world storm", and a "coming transformation" or "awakening". He observed silence for forty years. I will quote, "I must break my silence soon...it will be as when the "power house" is switched on...there will be light" "the disease of selfishness in mankind will require a cure that is both universal in application and drastic in nature... there will be floods, quakes, natural disasters... but these will be worth enduring for the peace which is to follow..." "Unprecedented suffering leads to unprecedented spiritual growth" How true! I speculate that in a global cataclysm, one will find that reality jumps sharply into focus. Cooperate or perish would be the rule, would it not? I spent thirty days in Death Valley, CA, in a primitive backpacking situation with not so much as a tent. I forever understood and sympathized with the wretched of the earth... but i digress. Further prophecy by the teacher of renowned wilderness survival expert, Tom Brown, also contains ominous references to a pole-shift like scenario. The third and critical sign is the "Night of the Bleeding Stars", after which the "Children of the Earth" must return to the bosom of nature, as the Earth will now heal herself and the world of Man will erupt in chaos. None of these people are trying to make a buck here, this is genuine. Again, sci.astro may not be the best forum for this post, however if "Planet X" is indeed on the way, do you think it will be announced in the nightly news? No, it will be heard through the grapevine as confirmed by amateur astronomers and observatories. So, before you arrogantly bash Nancy as a kook, or as delusional, or "in need of serious help", please first do your homework (not just your physics homework =), and keep a mind open to all *possibilities*, however bizzare they may seem to you. In conclusion, from what I have pieced together in my twenty-odd years on Earth, I imagine that we are all indeed in line for some serious moving and shaking, whatever form it may take, or whenever it may arrive.
