Troubled Times, Inc. Projects

In continuing with our mission of educating the public to the coming Pole Shift:

Educational
These are existing projects in our ongoing service to education. The UNIX Server project is in development.

· Troubled Times Website.
· Troubled Times Survival Booklet
· UNIX Servers
· Survival Videos / Film Clips (TV and personal distribution)

In continuing with our mission of encouraging the public to engage in known solutions to the problems that will be presented by the coming Pole Shift:

Seed Development (ongoing)
There are 2 Seed Hubs currently, dedicated to the harvest and saving of nonhybrid or genetically engineered seeds for use in the aftertime. A new project has been recently been proposed to research and develop low light crops and their seeds. Seed development and harvesting not only includes foods, but also herbs and medicinal plants.

· Seed Team Saving
· Seed Distribution

Communications (ongoing)
The need for staying in touch with other communities in the aftertime is a priority. In this instance, the technology is already developed. However the use of equipment, and coordination and development of a user network is being researched..

· Shortwave Internet Development

Recognizing the need for research and development of solution sets to aid in the survival of the human race, we have compiled a list of “Research Lab Groups” to facilitate this process. The Labs consist of existing, known issues that need research, as well as Labs already in existence, receiving our support. The Labs, and their subheadings are as follows:

Alternative Nutrition Lab (ongoing)
Because of the harsh conditions after the Pole Shift, there is ongoing research into alternative, closed system growing environments, protected from the elements. Wetlands as Food is under development.

· Hydroponics
· Aquaponics
· Aquaculture
· Verimculture
· Algaeculture
· Wetlands as food

Energy Lab
Alternative energy sources will need to be implemented in surviving communities. New developments in wind and hydro technologies are updated and added to the website frequently. However, research is needed in the area of long term, dependable light sources that require low energy to use.

· Carbon Arc
· Windmills
· Hydroelectric
· Batteries/Energy Storage
· Lighting Alternatives
